29 Mar How To Relieve The Tightness In Your Hips From Riding
There are more than 20 muscles that make up your hip flexors, all of which are essential because your hips do a lot for your body. It’s a part of the body you want to keep in shape, yet many of us pay little attention to them. Simple stretching however, has the potential to increase mobility, correct the alignment of your back and maybe even relieve pain. This will not only improve your day-to-day mobility, but also your exercise performance and ultimately help your riding.
Today I just wanted to share with you some of the videos I have done to help you stretch your hips. Try adding these stretches into your everyday routine will do wonders.
Tight hip flexors are going to affect your mobility and hinder your performance during riding. Habitual sitting is going to weaken anyone’s hip flexors so unless you actively stretch, you’ll end up with tight, short, and stiff hips.
One of the first places to flare up in riders as we age is our hips, so this is why you want to take care of them as much as you do your horses feet. Heard the saying no hoof no horse…..how about no hips no riding?
It doesn’t take much, but just a little time put into you could really allow your riding career to last that little bit longer. I don’t know about you, but I have so much to learn when it comes to riding and so that means I want the time to be able to do so.
